Pigpens & Charlotte's Web

To tie in with reading Charlotte's Web, Mrs. Frangiamore's 3rd grade class was challenged to build a pigpen for Wilbur. They had to create a structure that Wilbur could not escape from and that also had a functioning door that could open, close, and possibly lock.

Makers were given limited materials including cardboard, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, foil, paper, and glue. They even had time to make troughs and were happy to show off their locking gates! Wilbur definitely looks really happy inside these cozy pigpens!
