TALLEST TOWER Challenge

Mrs. Shelley's 4th grade class came in to the Husky Discovery Lab for their first time ready to work on making the tallest tower possible using only one material- index cards! They planned individually, then as a team of two, then got to work with building! The students implemented some strategies they had learned from previous building tasks and re-designed when something wasn't working. There was a lot of laughing {even when their stuctures toppled} and they created some super interesting structures! After a "tallest tower" was chosen, they discussed what they learned and wrote about their experience. Who knew index cards could be so much fun!?
